The 2016 Grants round was announced at the Point Lonsdale BoardRiders Club on Sunday 4 December 2016.

A total of $30,562 was awarded to the following Community Groups.

Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Queenscliff-$2,500 to assist with a PA system for their 150th Celebration

Queenscliffe Lighthouse Theatre Group-$$2,200 to assist with new electrical works for a sound system

Queenscliff Maritime Museum-$3,675 to assist with displaying 1 of only 2 19th Century marine toilets

Point Lonsdale Primary School-assist with funding of a 'Kelp Garden' at the school to enable a Garden Kitchen Project to be introduced for students

Point Lonsdale Surf Life Saving Club-$3,500 to purchase additional Nipper boards

Point Lonsdale BoardRiders Club-$3,500 to assist with funding a camera & computer

Queenscliff Cricket Club-$3,114 to assist funding of portable run-up mats & practice nets

Queenscliffe Historical Museum-$2,549 to purchase a museum standard display cabinet

Queenscliffe Literary Festival-$2,000 to assist with funding the costs of authors & stationery for the kids at the 2017 festival

Queenscliff Neighbourhood House-$3,998 to assist with the purchase of a portable mini PA system

Queenscliff Uniting Church-$700 to purchase additional art hanging materials

Queenscliff & Point Lonsdale RSL-$1,000 to assist with funding of the ANZAC Day Celebrations for 2017

Geelong Steam Preservation Society-$1,000 to assist with funding scaffolding for volunteers to reach the top of the train carriages

December 2015

The Grants round for 2015 was announced at the Awards Ceremony held at Queenscliff Community Sports Club on Sunday 6 December 2015.

A total of $30,139 was awarded to the following Community Groups.

Queenscliff Environment Forum-$1,000 to assist with a project of weed control & re-vegetation at Citizen's Park in Queenscliff

3225 Community Calendar for 2016-$1,000 to assist with the production & distribution of the 2016 calendar

Swan Bay Environment Association-$1,000 to assist with establishing the 'Gardens for Life' project at Swan Bay

Queenscliffe Historical Museum Inc-$2,651 to purchase a museum standard display cabinet in readiness for the Museum's 50 years celebration in 2016

Queenscliff Kindergarten-$1,500 for landscaping works in a high use area

Point Lonsdale Bowls Club-$3,159 to install car park lighting to improve safety & security

Queenscliff & Point Lonsdale Primary School-$4,080 to assist fund the 'Guardians of the Borough' project, a place based learning partnership between the schools & the community

Queenscliff Point Lonsdale RSL Sub-Branch-$2,749 to help fund the 2016 ANZAC DAY Civic commemorations in the Borough

Queenscliffe Literary Festival-$2,000 to assist create & maintain a website for publicity & program purposes, & to introduce an internet based ticketing system

Queenscliff Primary School-$500 to establish a R H Goodall Memorial with a plaque in commemoration of 37 years service to the school

Point Lonsdale Surf Life Saving Club-$3,000 to purchase a marquee for use at patrolled beaches

'Dancing in the Dark' Community Event-$2,000 to assist fund a personal Health & Arts based project for all ages in the community

Queenscliff Community Sports Club-$2,500 to assist with restoring & displaying significant photos that reflect the history of the resident sports clubs

Queenscliff-Point Lonsdale Uniting Church-$3,000 to assist with constructing a pedestrian ramp to the church hall which would provide 'equal access to all'

December 2014

The Grants round for the Community Enterprise for 2014 was announced at the Awards Ceremony on Sunday 7 December 2014 at Suma Park, Marcus Hill.

A total of $117,032 was awarded to the following Community Groups from the QPLCE:

YMCA Camp Wyuna-$2,000 to assist with construction of a hands-on recreational training course

Point Lonsdale Tennis Club-$15,000 to replace the existing tennis court lighting with effective LED lights

St James Anglican Church-$1,700 to assist with funding the 'Anglicans in the Borough' Archiving Project.

Queenscliffe & District Neighbourhood House-$1,500 to assist with the purchase of kitchen equipment to enable cooking classes to be held.

Queenscliff/Point Lonsdale RSL-$2,500 to replace the existing obsolete & ineffective heating system in the hall.

Combined Probus Club of Queenscliffe-$680 to purchase up to date audio equipment.

St Aloysius Primary School-$2,500 to assist with the running of a community based fun run for all age groups.

Queenscliff & Lonsdale Community Arts & Crafts-$800 to assist with the purchase of art supplies to encourage more in the community to participate in art.

Queenscliff Maritime Museum-$1,230 to purchase equipment to maintain the extensive grounds around the Museum.

1st Queenscliff Sea Scouts & Queenscliff Yacht Club-$2,500 to purchase training dinghies & the necessary safety equipment.

Queenscliffe Historical Museum-$2,039 to assist with funding the Museum's 2015 Accreditation process that is underatken every 5 years.

Queenscliff Community Sports Club-$20,000 to develop more safer surrounds under the existing verandah at the Monahan Centre.

Lonsdale Golf Club-$1,716 to replace the existing unsafe golf practice nets.

Bellarine Lighthouse Films-$1,500 to assist establish the structure for the ongoing winter films festivals.

Queenscliffe Literary Festival Community Committee-$2,000 to assist fund the 2015 Literary Festival which will celebrate the Australian landscape in books.

Ross Haughton & the Floating Bird Refuge-$500 to construct a floating bird refuge in Emily's Pond.

Bellarine Friends of the Hooded Plover-$1,000 to assist raise awareness on the breeding cycle of the Hooded Plover at the Point Lonsdale back beach.

Point Lonsdale Board Riders Club-$4,600 to assist establish power & lighting sources at the refurbished Club house.

Point Lonsdale Surf Life Saving Club-$6,798 to purchase an Infra Red Search Camera to assist with rescue efforts.

Queenscliff Football Netball Club & Queenscliff Cricket Club-$5,000 to assist with the construction of a purpose built BBQ trailer with canopy for use by all clubs.

Queenscliff Football Netball Club-$10,000 to refurbish the existing dilapidated netball clubhouse.

Queenscliff Cricket Club-$11,000 to replace the centre cricket pitch at Victoria Park which currently considered unsafe.

Rotary Club of Queenscliff-$20,469 to replace the existing electrical leads on the Christmas Tree at Point Lonsdale which are over due for replacement.

June 2013

The first round of grants for the Community Enterprise for 2013 were announced at the awards ceremony on Sunday 30 June 2013 at Lonsdale Golf Club.

A total of $19,859 was awarded to the following groups as recipients of funds from the QPLCE:

Queenscliff Uniting Church Congregation-$2000 to assist with the purchase of shade sails over bricked paved area near Bay Room

Queenscliff Community Sports Club-$3000 to purchase suitable chairs for the new Community and Social Room

Queenscliff Kids Doing Science-$1000 to assist with the running of a Science4Kids Program to enhance the focus of science with kids in the community and schools generally 

Queenscliff Lonsdale Business and Tourism Association-$1000 to assist with printing of a Keepsafe Cookbook to celebrate 150 years in the Borough of Queenscliffe

Point Lonsdale Board Riders-$750 to assist with the purchase of a competition timer for the running of more efficient surfing events

Queenscliffe Maritime Museum-$2509 to purchase a portable scaffold to ensure a safe working environment for volunteers in the Borough

Fort Queenscliff Museum Foundation-$2500 to assist with the purchase of portable Gazebos for use within the Fort precinct and for use by other community groups

Point Lonsdale Bowls Club-$1000 to assist with the purchase of sets of bowls that are small and light weight as a means of encouraging women and children to the sport of bowls

Queenscliff Toy Library-$1100 to assist with the replacement of damaged toys and the purchase of new toys

Point Lonsdale Surf Life Saving Club-$1500 to assist with the purchase of uniforms for youth training programs

Queenscliff Reconciliation Mob-$500 to purchase Point of Sale stands to assist promote the Wadda Wurrung book

Deakin Medical School-$3000 to assist with a research program to determine the cause of the Bairnsdale Ulcer

 

November 2012

The second round of grants for the Community Enterprise for 2012 were announced at the awards ceremony on Sunday 18 November 2012 at the Ferry Terminal

A total of $20,000 was awarded to the following community groups:

Bellarine Community Health Centre-$2000 to purchase a portable Defibrillator for the Point Lonsdale Community Health Centre

Queenscliff Community Sports Club-$2950 to assist with the purchase of a data projector for use at the Monahan Centre

Queenscliff Fire Brigade-$2000 to assist with the purchase of a Defibrillator for emergency service use

Queenscliff Point Lonsdale Uniting Church-$650 to purchase a piece of art for installation externally at the Church.

Queenscliff Reconciliation Mob-$2662 to assist with the production & printing of the Waddawurrung (Wathaurong) Booklet

St James Anglican Church-$1500 to provide ergonomic & easy to stack & deploy chairs for community use at the Church hall

Queenscliff Point Lonsdale Business Traders & Tourism Association-$1000 to assist with performing music in the Queenscliff Rotunda

Queenscliff Lighthouse Theatre Group-$2400 to assist with stage design for Oliver the Musical & the purchase of radio handset microphones

Queenscliff Sea Scouts-$990 to assist with the running of a community based bush dance for primary school aged children

Queenscliff Neighbourhood House-$650 to assist purchase materials to build a roof over the chicken compound

Queenscliff Music Festival-$1,310 to assist with the purchase of Cash Counting Machines

Queenscliffe Maritime Museum-$1,604 to assist with photographing Community Events for posterity purposes

Queenscliff Kindergarten Inc-$1,000 to assist with a creative outdoor space for the children of the Centre

Lighthouse Photo Group (Queenscliff Neighbourhood House)-$1,200 to assist with visual presentations

Queenscliff Coast Guard- $2,600 to assist with purchase of a HF Radio installation

Combined Probus Club of Point Lonsdale Inc-$2,300 to purchase a Defibrillator for the Gill Hall Meeting Room

St Aloysius Catholic Primary School-$1,000 to assist with improving the playground

Queenscliff Primary School-$500 to assist with a 'What's Cooking' program at the School

Queenscliff Historical Museum-$800 to purchase a recording Thermo Hydrograph

Queenscliff Point Lonsdale Congreagtion of the Unting Church-$1,000 to support the Social Knitworkers Knitting Group

Queenscliff Lonsdale Business & Traders Association-$2,500 to support the running of Music in the Rotunda in Queenscliff

 

 

November 2010

The second round of grants for the Community Enterprise for 2010 were announced at the awards ceremony on Sunday 21st November 2010.

A total of $13,500 was awarded to the following groups as recipients of funds from the QPLCE:

Lonsdale Golf Club - $ 2500 (from GMHBA) for a defibrillator to be available for club members and the general public

Queenscliff Neighbourhood House - $1000 (from GMHBA) to fund the presentation of a sustainable living course

Queenscliffe Uniting Church Congregation  - $1995 to assist in funding public outdoor furniture

Point Lonsdale Bowls Club  - $1997 to purchase scoreboards for the use of club members

Point Lonsdale Primary School - $2000 to assist in funding a program to promote and introduce environmentally friendly bags into the community

Queenscliff Primary School - $1300 to assist in the installation of and Eco Garden Shed to store garden produce

Melodaires Entertainment Group  - $500 to cover hall hire for rehearsals and entertainment presentations to local community groups

Point Lonsdale Primary School - $1500 to assist in funding the establishment of a native garden

Light House Theatre Group - $435 to assist in funding rehearsal costs

The first round of grants for the Community Enterprise for 2010 were announced at the awards ceremony on Sunday 16th May 2010. 

A total of $9000 was awarded to the following groups as recipients of funds from the QPLCE:

Uniting Church Congregation - $ 1950 (from GMHBA) for water fountain and bike racks to be used by general public

Point Lonsdale Boardriders Club - $1350 (from GMHBA) to fund the purchase of a rescue board

Queenscliffe Bowls, Tennis and Croquet Association  - $2000 to assist in funding improved access and security for the tennis courts

Queenscliff Primary School  - $544 (from GMHBA) to assist in funding improvements to their Environmental Precinct

Friends of Marine Discovery Centre - $1500 to assist in funding a snorkelling program for all Grad 5 and 6 students in the Borough

Queenscliff Football Netball Club - $1676 to purchase a large BBQ for use by the Netballers to be owned by QFNC and available for other local clubs and community groups at no cost through the QCSC when the QFNC does not require it

The first round of grants for the Community Enterprise were announced at the awards ceremony on Sunday 16th August 2009. 

A total of $7250 was awarded to the following groups as recipients of funds from the QPLCE:

Point Lonsdale Boardriders Club - $500 to fund the major piece of new storage equipment

St. Aloysius Primary School - $500 (from GMHBA) to reimburse the cost of materials for Health and Wellbeing Day held on 7th August

Freemasonry Victoria Cosmopolitan Masonic Lodge - $700 (from GMHBA) to fully fund the upcoming Men’s Health Information Night

Bellarine Community Health - $1144 (from GMHBA) to fund the materials of the Community Garden application

Point Lonsdale Surf Lifesaving Club - $1230 (from GMHBA)to provide funding for one Rescue Board

Queenscliffe Neighbourhood House - $1500 (from GMHBA) to provide funding for the cooking course and materials for the course

Queenscliff Football Netball Club - $1676 to provide the significant part of the funding required for the PA System to be owned by QFNC and available for other local clubs and community groups at no cost when the QFNC does not require it.
